Your district should be implementing the Next Generation Science Standards. An overview of the three dimensions of the new standards and connections to the Language Arts and Math standards are highlighted. Students are expected to define problems; generate and evaluate multiple solutions; build and test prototypes; make claims using evidence; and optimize a solution. Participants will take part in challenges that promote K-12 STEM learning, and actually experience how district curricula can be enhanced by integrating and enhancing students' knowledge of science, math, literacy, social studies, and engineering practices while fostering creativity.
