Effective January 8, all New Jersey public employers, including all school districts, are required to have and disseminate a reporting process for employees to report incidents of domestic violence. All public employees must be encouraged to report domestic violence incidents to their human resources officer, and should be provided with specific information and services. Presenters will go through the many new legal requirements as well as the responsibilities of a school district to provide a safe and confidential reporting mechanism for its employees. Often, the workplace may be the only safe place for a victim of domestic violence. Make sure your district is compliant!
