This session describes how a board member can help lead a school district towards certification in Sustainable Jersey for Schools. A board resolution is not the end of the involvement for board members. In fact, boards can be powerful change agents, by providing guidance through sustainability policy, implementing sustainability in district strategic plans, and creating green district goals. Learn how to align board actions to sustainability initiatives in areas such as the physical plant, hiring of personnel, curriculum, professional development, assessing progress for implementing sustainability, and more.
