After a March 2018 nor'easter caused a transformer fire in a wing of the Boonton High School, the district faced the challenges of keeping the educational program operating in the preK-grade 12 district while cleaning up and repairing the damage. This session will cover such topics as the sequence of events after the superintendent received the phone call notifying him of the fire; the difficulties involved in restoring the facility; and the importance of having an emergency operating plan.
