This session will provide participants will practical strategies to jumpstart a career education program in a traditional high school setting. Presenters from Gateway Regional High School will share how to implement a schoolwide career day, forge game-changing partnerships with industry leaders and community organizations, and tackle career education using a multifaceted-approach including speakers, field trips, job shadowing, volunteer opportunities, and internships. The Gateway to Careers program was recently featured in NJEA’s Classroom Close-Up and partners with the New Jersey Department of Labor.
