The establishment of a joint-school university culture fosters school improvement and increases student achievement with the development of professional development schools, which focus on the preparation of pre-service and in-service teachers, and aims to support the transition from college to the workplace. This session will present current research from multiple school districts that have developed a joint-school university culture, and will provide attendees with the necessary tools and strategies to implement school improvement changes that lead to an increase in student achievement.
