Creating and maintaining healthy indoor environments is perhaps one of the most complicated aspects of managing existing buildings and a central part of any green school effort. It includes green cleaning products and methods, ensuring adequate ventilation & fresh air, access to quality daylighting and artificial lighting, use and proper maintenance of healthy building materials. This involves a large group of stakeholder from purchasing to facilities management as well as end users. This session will provide an overview of these complex but related topics and how you can optimize indoor air quality to increase attendance & student/staff performance, reduce sick days and risk simultaneously.
